Eckert Frozen Food Quality
Quality Standards for IQF Frozen Vegetables
Studies consistently show that frozen vegetables often retain more nutrients than so-called “fresh” supermarket produce. Fresh vegetables can lose up to 45 percent of key nutrients between harvest, transport, and shelf time. Eckert produces IQF frozen vegetables using rapid flash-freezing at peak ripeness, locking in flavor, texture, and nutritional value at the moment of harvest.
Our approach to IQF frozen vegetable quality begins long before processing. Eckert carefully selects and partners with trusted growers, working closely with them throughout the growing season to ensure consistent standards, traceability, and food safety from seed to harvest.
All Eckert processing facilities operate under strict BRC (British Retail Consortium) Global Standards, a globally recognized benchmark for food safety and operational integrity. In addition, our dedicated field department audits growing fields to ensure compliance with current GAPs (Good Agricultural Practices) and evolving food safety requirements. This end-to-end oversight allows Eckert to deliver IQF frozen vegetables with dependable quality, safety, and consistency for foodservice, manufacturing, and retail partners.
